Reflection and Holiday Sign Off
With Christmas around the corner I feel like I'm starting to wrap up this year. I took a trip down memory lane through photographs in a linen box I keep on the second shelf of large mahogany bookcases that call my living room home… Genevieve’s birth, healing postpartum, homeschooling, creating, redecorating, blogging, traveling, and simply living. It’s funny, to think that I felt like I hadn't done much this year when really I began multiple new things. Things that I plan to expand on next year with the hope that it will open doors for the future we have been quietly working towards.
Each year after Christmas I sit with the season for a bit. Although I will have goals come January, I still believe that the year doesn’t truly start until spring. So I have this time to wrap up my writing for the year, welcome the spirit of Christmas, be present for little ones who have been filling our home with paper chains, holiday puzzles and freshly baked cookies. It all feels like a brown sugar oatmeal latte, and I'm not sure how to translate that for you other than, the art of being cozy.
From here on out I'll be diving into the unseen labor of being Mrs. Claus. This is Genevieve’s first Christmas so I want to get things done over the next two weeks and really enjoy the holiday week when it arrives. That being said, I’ll be signing off for the month and I will see you back in a few weeks with the 2025 recap, 2026 goals and of course, new writing… these little “love letters” as I call them. May your days be merry and may this season be filled with so much joy and holiday cheer. Happy Holidays my readers, I’ll see you next year!
