A cozy Girl’s Intro to The Holidays

I took a break from blogging and showed up less on social media for the month of October to reset mentally. We also welcomed a new member to the family… introducing Theodore Poet McCandless, he is half Persian and half Maine Coon and one hundred percent sweetness. I could snuggle him all day. He has taken well to our dogs and cats and when I have Genevieve wrapped on me in the baby carrier I hold in with one arm and he falls asleep right with her. So… I basically have twins.

In other news John and I found a new coffee shop favorite, my sister and I have been cosplaying the rich at restoration hardware and we've been taking some sisterly time to brainstorm our next creative wave. I keep trying to talk her into doing a podcast with me but we might be cancelled 0n day one. Still I do think it is something we should highly consider, and sister, if you see this… what’s elevation without a little scandal. I think if applied well enough I could be a latina Martha Stewart, but with all the kids and no felony. Maybe a tiny bit of felony. A sprinkle. Does humor translate well in written form or does this not read like a funny text to the trio group chat??? Insert me laughing at myself as I type this.

Aside from this I have a pre thanksgiving menu to make! My sister’s boyfriend is visiting for the first time and I've gotten my heart set on creating a custom menu to print out, a few starters, one or two mains and dessert of course. I’ll circle back on this in two weeks and share the menu with you. November brings out the hostess in me and I do aim to make the holidays as special as possible for everyone. I’m looking forward to hosting more, the winter months that bring a stillness, the gatherings and the moments we share over the holiday season.
